I just did an upgrade install from win2k to winXP.
Worked perfectly! almost. Every boot, I get a small popup window.
Error: Instalation Failed
Everything seems to be working though, at least everything I've tried so far.
If I open task manager and watch, when I click OK for that popup window, a instance of RUNDLL32.EXE stops.
So. There must be some driver being loaded from registry that isn't working right.
My question.
Is there any way to figure out what process, or command, is opening that window?
RUNDLL32.EXE exists like a bajillion times in the registry, so looking through there hasn't helped any.
