XP ugrade, need old OS serial??

If I purchase the XP upgrade box, do I need the serial number from my WIN 98 to the XP install?

No...usually... Microsoft upgrade installs, just ask you to pop in the OLD CD from your previous version at some point in the install to verify you have it..
