XP to Win 7 & iphone?

So I had XP Pro set up with my iphone, just installed 64bit Windows 7....does anyone know how I can get iTunes to sync with my iphone without having to wipe it?

I have access to my old XP setup (virtualized it) so I can get any files I may need.

thanks

I'm not sure if it works the same way as OS X... but I think you can just copy over your old iTunes (music files/Library) folder to Windows 7, and then restart iTunes and plug in your iPhone. That should keep all your settings so you can just continue to sync it. This is how it works in OS X... I'd assume that it's the same in Windows, however I have no idea.

yeah I've tried that, I think I missed some files though since iTunes hides files all over the place in Windows.

Anyone know where itunes stores the iphone specific stuff in windows?

There should be an XML file that has your library ID. iTunes Muslc Library.xml

If I'm not mistaken, the phone checks the library ID in that file and if it doesn't match it won't sync.

think I got it, rebooting and randomly copying library files seems to have worked. Thanks

now if I can just get my logitech g15 working with 7...
