XP to Vista customization

i just got a new netbook and it's badass... the only problem is that it doesn't run windows vista. anyone know any good xp to vista customization downloads?

You can hack the themes.dll file, and then I think it's called "Luna"; it's the best I've found and doesn't use any resources. Get version 5 of Luna if you can. It might be called "Luma". :confused:

I would install Windows 7 RC way before I would install that crazy transformation pack. Even Ubuntu would be better. If you don't like how XP looks, there are the theme customizations I told you about, or else I would just use a different OS. If you're relying on 3rd party software to make it look like something it's going to eat up resources unnecessarily.

TBH Windows 7 and XP perform about the same. The only reason to get 7 is because you're so sick of XP at this point really. Until there are things that only Windows 7 will run, XP is just fine and people can save their money IMO. The beta is fun because it's free, but I doubt I would ever buy Windows 7. Linux is good enough to run as a daily OS, and XP can do the job for compatibility.

1GB ram on my nforce 2 board,Win7 beta runs fine.
