XP to 64bit?

Would it be worth it going from a 3200+ XP to 3000+ Athlon 64(@2.4Ghz)? For very little cost?

well its not me its my sister. I was thinking about giving her my old 3000+ but she would have to purchase a motherboard for it. I don't want her to give $50-80 for a motherboard just to get little to no performance boost. She already has 1gb of memory. It would mostly be used for basic stuff with very little gaming.

For web surfing, or word processing, definitely not. For anything else, definitely.

Well she does rip movies often. But 80% of her time is surfing,email,music,ect.
