Hi! I just recently used the System recovery feature from WinXP Pro. However, as I rolled back, I can see that some apps I installed are missing (just the EXE files, the rest are still there) and also some .EXE that I downloaded from Inet are missing too.

Is this normal? Does XP erase the EXE files which installed after the last system recovery checkpoint?

Ill appreciate any comments. Thanks in advance.

I don't think it erases them per se. It just restores your system to that point in time. If the programs weren't installed at that point in time then it won't recover them because they weren't installed at that date. It is like doing a restore from Ghost, it can't restore files that weren't in there at the time of backing up.
