XP SP3 won't boot from disk on laptop?

CD is set to first boot device, but the system just ignores it. No 'boot from CD' prompt or anything. Acer Aspire 9301 AWSMi.
 
Try a different disk. Otherwise, how is the optical drive? Could it be suffering some ailment?
 
It probably got burned as a data DVD, not as an image file. Try using ImgBurn, and then burn as image. It should work then.
