XP SP3 New Features?

AkumaX

Lifer
Are there any new features that we should be paying attention to in SP3? Like some kind of new command, services, etc...

Come to think of it, are there any features in SP1 or SP2 that we should have been taking advantage of all along 😛

Haven't noticed any new features - but it does roll up all the updates since SP2 - that's a lot! I also sense it loading a bit faster.

SP3 Updates your RDP client to 6.1 which includes better support for Server 2008.

On a sidenote, I've had a problem with SP3 and Symantec AV 10.1 not cooperating at work. Annoying, but fairly easily fixable.

Mine's been working great and about another 10pc's I have in an SP3 testing group. All programmers/engineer pc's and actaulyl haven't had a single issue with SP3 yet.

Also using Symantec AV 10.1.4. no probem with it and SP3. Disable your AV before installing SP3.

I'll have to try that on the next computer we build. This guy's laptop was rebuilt completely and after putting SP3 on there, it would always blue screen on login.
