I must say I am impressed with my socket 939 A64 3200+ CPU. It's the most stable computer I've ever built, and it's a solid workhorse. My computer has been up for about 4 days without a reboot so far. I upgraded from a Barton 2500+ and every morning I'd have to reboot it to "refresh" it. I've played far cry, halo, doom 3 and half life 2. I've got Seventeen or Bust running in the background with no performance hit. And best of all, when I wake up and turn on the monitor, my computer feels like it just booted! The only thing I've noticed it that VM usage is around 400mb.

Good for you. Not to burst your bubble or anything (and certainly not to brag), Most every system I've built (since win2k came out) has been rock stable. I had a pentium 233mmx before 2k came out, and it ran win98 and was reasonably stable. Once win2k came out, I built a new system (p3 450, 128mb, forget which mobo, but it was the intel made mobo that was the successor of the 440bx). That system was rock solid. Then I upgraded to an Athlon 850 (thunderbird) and the asus kt133a mobo, and that ran rock stable at 933mhz. Then came the athlon xp 1500 with the sis chipset. Rock stable again. Then the same axp @ 1937mhz on an nforce2 mobo. Rock stable. Now I'm on an athlon64 on shuttle's fx83 mobo. And yes, rock stable.

I'm glad your system is the same. Here's hoping all your future systems are stable too.

I have been running win2k for 4 months non stop on Acer Veriton PIII and it works as smooth as silk (but of course, I haven't run games or unauthorized tools whose origin is not well known).
