XP sometimes detects a random piece of hardware I can't install

I have no idea what it is detecting about once every 5-10 reboots. It can't find a driver, but causes no problem if I just disable it.

it's all scrambled characters for the name of the hardware.

Anyone have any idea to fix this?

Do you have a USB hub attached? I had a flaky one once that did something similar. The sad part was that it was integrated into my monitor 😱
