XP Showing slower processor Speed after SP2

After installing Windows XP SP2, my Dell Lattitude L400 (700Mhz) is showing a processor speed of 352 Mhz.
This didn't occur until the installation of SP2. When I enter "setup" in the bios, the processor speed is indeed 700 Mhz.

Obviously XP isn't showing the correct processor speed. How can I fix this and is it anything to be concerned with?

It may be throttling your CPU speed properly, that was one of the things that was fixed/added in XP SP2.
What happens if you set your power profile to "Always on" or "AC Power"? It should switch to the maximum CPU frequency then.

Thanks VirtualLarry! When I set the power scheme to "Always On" the processor speed jumped back up to 700 Mhz. At least I know nothing is messed up. 🙂
