XP sharing issue

Trying to share outlook on XPpro x XPhome compuyers. I am able to run Quickbook as a shared database and browse b/w computers. BUT, when I try to share a folder, it is marked as read only. I reset the attributes and recheck...reverts to read only. Even if I create a new folder I get this behavior. Any insight gratefully appreciated. TIA, Paul

You can always set it up so that it leaves a copy of the message on the server. This works quite well and allows all computers to get the message.

Still doesn't get me a clue as to why the read only attribute cannot be removed from the folder or why it is created as read only.
Need to share mail, contacts and calendar
