Ok Ive installed XP many times on this machine...
Now Ive got a sata drive as opposed to IDE, and uninstaled my IDE and am going to run the sata drive ONLY.
I first partitioned and formatted the SATA drive. I then installed WIN98 on it as my XP cd is upgrade only.
WIN98 installed and ran fine.
XP setup most of the way fine, but on its first attempt to boot into XP (still during setup, but the first attempt at using the splash screen etc) it got the BSOD. Mentioned hard drives.
It happens EVERY TIME i reboot and attempt to finish the setup.
Im thinking its sata drivers... But win98 worked fine.. But maybe thats different.
Let me know, im puzzled.
