XP Services question

Hello!

I noticed that I have those 2 processes in Add or Remove Programs...Also when I was installing DivX ,I think the 2nd process was added ...and the 1st (.NET) I think I added when I came to Windows Update on MS site (in Software Optional components)....
So do I intentinally have to install those (I mean-say, if I re-install XP) ? or I don't have to worry about it?
My concern is that maybe without those 2 something won't work right...? For instance,I use Apache-Xampp-My SQL-Php-Joomla! and hMailServer...

.NET Framework is required to run applications written in a .NET language. If you don't run .NET applications (I don't believe those you mentioned are .NET-based), you don't need the framework, although it doesn't hurt anything to have it there.

Visual C++ 2005 redistributables are used need to run applications compiled under Visual C++. Again, it's only needed if you run those applications. In most cases, if an app requires the redistributables, it will install them during its own setup process.

So simply put,I don't have to worry about those and Xampp-Joomla-Apache-Php-My SQL won't require me to have those 2 things on my PC to work right?

nevermind ; he may have mentioned something but then found it would not fit what the discussion is about

Yeah, I was going to write something about the C++ Redistributable and how I used to run into TONS of XP boxes that had this missing, with lots of errors in the Event Logs.

But it's really not that relevant....
