I'm not much of a PC or OS guy but I am very much a network/security guy.

I keep hearing all this talk of network/security changes with SP2. So how about we keep a thread going from that aspect?

1) Seems like the firewall is enabled by default - that is a good thing
2) something about code execution and preventing buffer overflow based worms.

I'll try to add everybody's comments to this one.

yeah....as user of Kerio firewall (which is great and low on resources) and an additional router i am sooooooooo lookng forward to ICF...especially if its 'on' as default...LOL....i also need a pop-up everytime i receive a email with an attachment because i am so stupid i always click on it to see what the unknwon attachment does.... 🙂 Thanks MS for SP2 🙂

It broke my system.

My taskbar does not show the applications I am using anymore (it's blank).
My printers are uninstalled.
My sound card is uninstalled.
I have no clipboard (can't copy & paste).
I can't install things because the required service is not running.
I am not authorized to start the required service =/

Oh oh, my firewall can't start because the required service is not working.

And how many people are there that aren't as smart as you seem to be and dont run a firewall or use a router? Will it be hard for you to click the button to disable the Windows firewall?

eh? Maybe thats an Outlook Express thing, but I haven't heard of it. And that definitely doesn't happen in Outlook.
