XP Service Pack 1 vs Service Pack 2

I have a motherboard that wants XP service pack 1. I only have service pack 2. What kind of problems could I have if I use service pack 2? The motherboard manual says to install service pack 1. This is for an Asus P4P800 SE or P4P800-E Deluxe (the same board onl that the SE is the smaller version). Any major concerns between pack 1 and pack 2 ?

eh, it says that because there was no SP2 when the manual came out, I would guess.

Service Pack 2 includes all the changes that were in Service Pack 1, so you should be just fine.

Only real difference is that 2 adds more security features. And like nweaver said, SP2 wasn't out when your mobo was released.

SP2 adds tons of stuff besides security. A whole new driver base for instance.....do it.
