Hey everyone.
I'm having trouble connecting to the internet on my notebook. I have an Intl PRO/Wireless 2200BG NIC.
I can connect to my school's wireless network. However, I can never get to the point where I can actually logon through the Cisco VPN version 4.0.4 (B).
I keep getting the "Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the Client. Reason 403: Unable to contact th security gateway."
I've noticed that XP automatically creates a Wireless network profile. However it is a computer-to-computer ad hoc network. Which it most certainly isn't. I see wireless routers around my building and XP refuses to detect them as access points. I created my own profile which has the "This is a computer-to-computer (ad hoc) network; wireless access points are not used" unchecked as directed by my IT department. But XP gives me a big red X next to that profile and instead detects and connects to the computer-to-computer network of the same name.
How can I prevent XP from automatically creating a computer-to-computer network profile which it is not and utilize the profile I created.
Thanks
