I'm having a TOUGH time getting my XP Pro system to see my Win98 Machines.

All computers hooked up to switch.
All on same Workgroup.
TCP addresses through DHCP from ISP.
TCP & NetBEUI running on Win98 machines (pretty sure they use NetBEUI to share files/printers).
TCP & NetBIOS on TCP running on XP machine.
All firewalls are OFF.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Are your IP addresses from the ISP on the same subnet? I have a problem where my ISP gives me two IPs from completely different subnets. So if I were to use TCP/IP for local file sharing, I'd have to go out through my modem over their 'public' network, and back.

So I installed IPX/SPX on BOTH systems, and all is fine.

You already have NetBeui Installed on the 98 machines, so I would have suggested installing it on the XP machine also, but Microsoft 'removed' it from XP. They are trying to phase it out. I have heard its still there, but am not sure how to get it back.

Perhaps you could try IPX/SPX on both machines. I havent had any problems with it myself. (I think IPX is available on 98)..

You might want to try making the WinXP machine the master browser. Search on google for it, it's a simple registry change
