Have all the major security holes in XP been sealed or should I wait longer to get it?

Security is not a product but something that must constantly be worked at.

All of the known security holes in XP have been issued a patch. However, a new one is just around the corner, to be sure. There always are. If you're waiting for XP to be released in perfect form, you'll never buy it. Buy it, install any available updates, and stay on top of things as new updates are released.

A friend of mine who has XP installed said he got six updates for XP the other day. Better click on Windows Update and download and install all critical security and other updates without delay. Your system is at risk if you do not.

If you wait for all updates that will ever be released in the next year or so by MS then you will have an unprotected system. Go get the updates now!!!!!

IE is still waiting on a bunch of *KNOWN* holes to be filled, unfortunately Microsoft does not appear to care about these problems.
