XP security tab question.......

I figured out how to get the security tab to appear........but is there a way for files that were put on a public network drive to not have a security tab? For example, if I put a file on this network drive and I didn't want other people to know I put it there, how can I do this?

I dont know, but here are some thoughts:

Can you change the permissions to not allow anyone but yourself to read it? Can you put it in a folder and do the same for that folder? Can you set the hide attribute on the file (does this still exist? 😛)?

People that don't have read access from either Share permissions or NTFS permissions cant see the file/folder.
