XP remote desktop web connection configuration?

I've been using RDC for awhile now, but I just started using the web-based version of it. Is there anyway to make configuration changes to it like you can the real client? Specifically I would like to disable it showing my wallpaper and to enable it to map my local resources (drives). Is this possible through the web client? Or only through the normal client?
