XP Reinstall after VISTA ultimate

Ok,

I have been running Vista Ultimate 64 for a couple of months and I am not sure if I like it much over my XP Pro. Anyways, I was of the mind that I'd like to reinstall my good ole XP. The funny thing is when I set my booting priority in the BIOS to CDRom and boot my system, It asked me to press any key to launch de CD but after doing that it boots right into VISTA even though HHD are disabled in the boots priority sequence. Seems to me that VISTA has a mind of its own. How do I by pass this annoying behaviour ?

You should not disable the hard drives in the boot list.
There are usually 2 menus in the BIOS for boot.

One is a list of devices that can boot.
You should have your hard drive you want to install XP on this list as well as your CD drive.

The other is the boot priority list.
You should set your CD Rom drive ahead of the hard drive in this list.

Then, it should work.
