I got my PC-World today and has an article about beta-2 in it. It seems that you MUST register windows to run it past 30 days of installing it. Does anyone know if there is a way around this. I personally do not wish to register everytime i upgrade (which is quite often). and if anyone knows where i can obtain a copy of beta-2 lmk.

You can get beta 2 from microsoft.com.
Really, how often are you going to have to install XP ? The registration is a simple 1 minute deal online. No biggy like everyone is thinking.
I was in a webconference with MS and the guyg from ZDNet yesterday. It's not going to be a big deal. Sign on, enter a code, recieve a number and that's it.
It's simply done so one cd isn't used on 20 machines like Office has been for years.

I don't care how easy it is to do. If I buy somthin I own it, I shouldn't have to register it more then once..

Excatly imagine having to re-register your car each time you had new tyres put it.
