XP Registration Question

I have just loaded Windows XP Corporate on my "test" system. Having never loaded XP of any kind on any system I am curious about something. During the loading process I was presented with an option to register my copy of XP Corporate however there was nothing that indicated that if I didn't register, my OS would shutdown after 30 days. Also, every time I have booted this system up nothing ever pops up saying that I need to register.
I guess my question is, is it normal to be offered the option to register XP Corporate when loading it on a system??

Registering your copy of WinXP is completely different than activating it. Registration is not mandatory, activation is for all versions besides the Corporate version. If you have the Corporate version you should be fine. No need to register.

If you do this: "Start > Run, then type "oobe/msoobe /a" and press Enter" and you have the corporate version, will it still say that it has been activated?
