XP reboots when i try playing video files

I have a problem with my windows XP in which I would try to open a random video file, it'd open up windows media player, then instantly reboot. Once it reboots it says "windows recovered from a serious error". Some of these videos I've had for a while, they worked fine until just recently. I just downloaded a video from a site and that caused me to reboot... I even formatted my computer but that ended up not helping either. Has anyone had a problem like this before? if so how did you fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

btw my system has p4 2.6c, asus p4p800 deluxe, ATI 9800pro, Sound blaster Audigy LS, 1 gig crucial pc3200 ram, 80 gig Maxtor 7200rpm HD and 1 20gig Maxtor 7200rpm HD (only used to backup files mostly)

As we posted in the other forum, we'd like you to send us the memory dump files. 🙂

Solution delivered: Creative Labs Audigy drivers. Remove the drivers, remove the card, retest and let us know how it goes.
