XP RC1 and ZoneAlarm

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has used ZoneAlarm 2.6 and XP 2505.

I have set it up to allow my programs through the lock, but it keeps blocking IE for some reason, even though it has access to pass the lock. It keeps saying "Process 1000 has attempted...." every time I try to load a website.

I tried compatability mode for 2K since I run it on there fine, but same results.

And Outlook Express and everything else gets through...

Its really pissing me off. Any help/ideas would be great

I'll try it ASAP and get back to you. I am working on a DMA issue on my laptop. I have a bundle of XP goodies that has BlackICE in it. I think if ZA worked it would be in there, but???
 
XP has a built-in firewall. Perhaps it's not as good as ZA but it's there in case you didn't already know.

Yeah I know about that firewall, but I cant really see how customisable it is? It really seems to be an on/off thing and how do you let certain apps use it safely?

I uninstalled ZA and reinstalled, and so far it is working ok.
