XP purchase questions...

i am thinking of buying an OEM version of XP, however there are 3 computers in my house. is it possible to buy one copy and 2 other licenses? will i be able to do regular updates, etc same as a retail one?

As far as OEM goes make sure you get a "REAL" OEM and one for a specific computer like a Dell. You can buy licenses from MS but they are almost the same price as buying the real deal. I would look on the FS/FT forums and get a good deal.

I'm pretty sure you meant "...and NOT one for a specific computer like a Dell."

But yeah, FS/FT has pretty good deals. I've sometimes seen OEM 3-packs or 5-packs for a small discount if you don't want to spend too much time fussing around with extra licenses or chasing hot deals.
