XP Program Install Dates

In Vista , from Control Panel-Uninstall Program , the list of installed programs has an "Installed On" column showing date of installation - very handy for troubleshooting problems .
In XP , in the corresponding Control Panel entry there is no such info .
Is there any XP program around which can provide this info ?
Thanks .

bit crude but you could always open explorer and list the program files directory and enable the column for date created. By no means perfect and won't show win update etc but its a start.

You could also filter the application logs in event viewer for a source of msiinstaller. Add filters for errors or warnings as well, but probably not needed.

Edit: Not sure if this will work with XP.

Edit2: Yes, it works. Just found this on an XP box.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: MsiInstaller
Event Category: None
Event ID 10005

Thanks Lifted - I'll try it .
Meanwhile , I installed Revo Uninstaller Pro trial version , and it lists the installation dates of installed programs .

Yeah that works. Also, using Explorer you can look at file details in /Windows, especially drivers and updates, and get a good sense of when drivers, etc. were installed. Also, the blue files - updates. But, RevoPro is a good solution. It works for me too.

These dates are also useful as a reference:

Windows XP was first released: October 25, 2001
SP1 release date: September 9, 2002
SP2 release date: August 2004
SP2b release date: April 2005
SP2c release date: Sept 2007
SP3 release date: April 21, 2008

Yeah - in my XP system, all Windows Update uninstall files are shown in blue in Explorer.

SIW, the program has a portable freeware version (last download item on the page).

http://www.gtopala.com/siw-download.html

Put it in any folder or USB Flash drive and run.

It has a lot of useful info.

In your case look at the top Under Software 4th selection installed software.
It tells you the date of installation of each programs.
