I just installed Ubuntu on my PC. I installed it to an extra PATA drive I had sitting around. I unplued my SATA drive that had XP on it to be sure no changes occured to that drive. After the install I plugged back in my SATA drive and played some more. When I went to boot back to XP it failed to boot. I'd get to the XP splash screen then a reboot. Safemode works fine.
