Ok, I've been running XP forever and haven't ever had any problems. Well, today I sit down in front of my computer and I double click on Mozilla. Instead of opening up like normal it opens up the white box with tabs which lets you change the settings for the shortcut.
So, a little confused and perturbed I try clicking on my Start button. . .it comes up really quickly and then disappears. I can't get anything to work so I reboot and everything works fine. Then, after about 10 minutes or so it happens again. This time after rebooting I run my Anti-Virus software (SOPHOS, very good and very expensive stuff for small businesses) and it finds nada. I run Ad-Aware and Spybot and then after a few minutes. . .same thing.
By this point I'm more than a little annoyed, so I say to heck with it and do a System Restore to about 3 days ago. I figured this would have fixed it but no. . .my system still runs fine for a few minutes until it starts crapping out. . .not letting me open shortcuts or the start menu.
Any ideas? It's working right now but I'm sure in a few minutes I'll be having to reboot.
Sorry if this is the wrong forum or anything like that. Just I'm stumped and you guys are the smartest ones I know when it comes to tech stuff.
Thanks in advance!
Will
