I have two questions.
I have XP Home on my home PC. Is it possible to upgrade this to Professional? Will any XP Pro disc work or do I need an upgrade disk.
Second, I have a Dell OEM XP Pro reinstallation CD. The computer it came with upon receiving was immediately reformated with Windows 2000. I want to know if I could use the CD as a licence and install on a new home built computer, or did the Dell machine probably come pre-activated therefore killing the licence? Also, the key needed to install is on a sticker on the Dell machine. Can I use that key to install to a new PC, or does it tie the Dell PC to the activation/install?
