I would appreciate a little assistance. I have XP Pro w/SP2 installed and it doesn't seem to like smooth scrolling. Any movement, up or down, on a page results in a screen "refresh". A bar goes from the top to bottom, or bottom to top, depending on the scroll direction I request. Other annoyances, probably related to the same problem;
1. When using WMP, if the cursor is in the same field as the moving graphics, the graphics are smooth. When the cursor is outside the graphics field, the graphics and cursor are jerky, like their being refreshed.
2. Outlook express has the same problem. When adding or deleating Email, the screen is constantly refreshed.
3. Some websites have a stationary page, but a scrolling insert. The insert scrolls smoothly.
I have the "Smooth Scrolling" checked on the internet options. This copy of XP Pro was first installed on a Toshiba laptop and had the same problem. At that time, I assumed I didn't have the correct drivers installed for the touch pad.
Any Ideas? TIA!
