On a recently upgraded machine (98-XP Pro) All loose ends were tied up with relative ease but this shutdown issue is really annoying.
Fortunately the client wont be back to reclaim PC till next week so i have a nice cushion of time before it needs to be rectified.
SP1 and all applicable updates are installed.
I've already updated my bios - no help
I'm not entirely sure why, but my power options control panel does not include the "APM" tab that MS refers to in their knowledge base.
is there something that I am neglecting?? i feel like i have exhausted everything that MS offers.
