hi all,

like many of you i proceeded rebuild the box upon arrival. upon my installation of xp pro, i blue screen at the last starge of the stage 1 boot. I used my original win xp pro disc and did the "intregrated, slipstreamed" sp1a update, reburned bootable disc, and reloaded. I'm sure I'm dying on the pc card or perhaps the athlon 64... but did anyone have to load any additional drivers during the xp pro install?

any and all thoughts appreciated.

thx,
-e

No sorry dude. When I did a clean xp pro install on mine, it went completely smooth and installed all the drivers itself. after installation I just had to download the new vid card (Omega) drivers and the hyperion drivers and let windows update take care of the rest.

It could be your memory. The XP install will make memory fail that doesn't when an image is used.
