Setup:

Computer A = Has internet connection, ip 192.168.0.1
Computer B =If needed, get interet access from A, IP DHCP

I ran XPs network wizard on both computers and had no problems at all, HOWEVER........I need Computer B to be able to access a share on A but when I double click on the icon for computer A in My network places I get a logon box. The username field is greyed out but shows Computer A\Guest.

In the past I have never had this problem, I ran the network wizard and shared files and what not without this problem. Iv tired adding a user account on B for A and vice versa but I still get a logon box and the user name is till greyed out.

Can someone please tell me what the hell I'm missing.

EDIT:

Ok.....now Computer B cant see Computer A in My network places but under network connections it shows my internet connected.

I also tired setting B's ip manual, tired differnet nics, differnet drivers tho I know is some small stupid thing in XP.

XPs firewall isnt setup for the LAN connections, from what I know that would make my problem worse. In the past when I reinstalled xp (which I just did for both computer) it was as simple as run the network wizard, make one a host, the other a client and it worked.
