Will XP Pro recognize P4 HT CPU's as 2 CPU's? If so, will this increase performance in games?

Yes, as will XP home and MCE. As for performance, people will argue it really depends on what work load you have on your machine. But overall, yes, you should see some performance improvement.

Not likely. Some games like UT2K4 are multithreaded so there might be a little improvement in those, but most by are are single threaded and will only use 1 CPU. There's also the fact that the other CPU will be available for other things while the game is running, so if you have a lot running the background it might help. But it's 1 HT CPU and not 2 real CPUs so the benefits will probably be smaller than if you had a true SMP machine.
