About 15 minutes ago, I booted up my system, and it went fine. It was working normally and then it just froze completely. I had to hold the power button down to turn it off. Now my system starts up, but when it passes the Windows loading screen, the monitor gets no signal.
I can boot into safe mode, msconfig reveals nothing out of the ordinary and I tried checking the registry, but I can't find what's causing it.
I haven't installed anything new in a good while, so I can't imagine what caused it. My system's been running fine for months.
I'm not overclocking or anything either. And I already installed all the security/critical updates from Windows Update.
Also, something I just noticed, my resolution is at 1024x768@60hz which it usually is at, but right now, Windows won't let me change resolution. I can lower it to 800x600 but when I click apply, nothing happens.

I'm running the following:

Celeron 533
Toshiba Equium 8000 series motherboard
256MB PC133
GeForce4 Ti4200 64MB AGP
Maxtor 60GB 7200RPM HD
Maxtor 160GB 7200RPM HD
Onboard sound
Liteon 24x10x40 CDRW (not connected ATM)
Onboard LAN
350watt PSU

Check Device Manager in Control Panel and see if your video card is recognized properly and reload the Video Card Driver if needed. You can also try to restore to an earlier date if you have corrupted files. If everything looks good there, you can try another video card to see if that solves your problem.

Or you have your video settings too high and you will need to get into setup prior to letting the computer load, and set the PC to load in VGA mode... See if that fixes the problem.

I had that happen to me a couple years ago... :)

I set my resolution from safe mode to 640x480 256colors
I tried two cards, and both seemed to work in safe mode, and were detected properly
