XP PRO installation with SATA drive

Yes, XP Pro can install on a single SATA drive.

However, before you attempt the install, make sure you have the SATA drivers available on a floppy disk to use during the install process (the infamous F6 driver load at the beginning of the install process).

XP Pro can install on a system that has "native" SATA support (chipset/bios), but it doesn't always work without the extra drivers.
