The default web page for IIS contains a link to the online documentation for IIS. Unfortunately it doesn't work as installed. I didn't change anything relating to IIS, the online documentation is the first thing I tried.
The error page I get is error message 500.100:
HTTP 500.100 - Internal Server Error - ASP error
Internet Information Services
Error Type:
Server object, ASP 0177 (0x800401F3)
Invalid class string
/iishelp/iis/misc/default.asp, line 12
Browser Type:
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727)
Page:
GET /iishelp/iis/misc/default.asp
Time:
Tuesday, December 27, 2005, 2:15:24 PM
The iishelp files are there, located at the site root.
I think it may be something simple, like file system permissions, but I didn't want to go mucking around until I had some better idea of what was wrong.
If it's not something like permissions, then it just doesn't work as installed.
Thanks for any assistance.
