XP PRO: Fat32 to NTFS - help!

O.k.- I screwed up- I didn't change my new hard drive to change to NTFS when I installed it yesterday- and now I hear I will have some problems IF I change it over to NTFS. Can I still change, how do I do it, and will I have problems(with performance)????
Someone please help me!

Oh, one of the major reasons for switching is, that I need to access the documents and files from another NTFS hard drive that is bad/old/ not going to be used.... HELP!!!!!!

There shouldn't be any performance problems with converting--there are rumors about block sizing, but I highly doubt you will notice.

Just go to start, run type cmd, then convert x: /FS:NTFS

I have done it many times with no problems. Just remember you can't go back with out blowing away the partition.

Thanks- what exactly is "blocking size"? -and why would that concern me? AND, will it take long to convert to NTFS (is it a 10 minute or 2 hour process)??? Thanks again for your input!

Also, make sure to replace the "x" in the above command line with your drive letter. Example "convert c: /FS:NTFS" XP is on your c drive.<B>
