Hello I have an xp pro corporate(aka doesn need/have activation) install cd that i got from college awhile ago for my own use. I will be needing to make a custom slipstream disk with SATA drivers for a computer I'm working on that a xp pro oem was purchased for with key and all that goodness from ms including activation. The only problem is i forgot to bring that Oem disk home but i have the key since i put its sticker on the case. Anyone know if its posible to make the custom install using the corporate version i have and use the oem cd key with it to install xp? I doubt it but it would save me anouther trip tomorrow :(

yes its a way! You have to edit a file on the cd which makes it either home, corp, pro. Thats all im telling you.. prob too much already but i dont think so! You are paying for the product key and not the cd itself so im guessing its legal since you have the legal cd key and not a illigeal one.
