I put a BASIC PC together for some 1 & had been working AOK until yesterday in which they got the following BSOD:

kernel thread terminated while holding a mutex, they reset the PC & all is AOK, would anybody have any idea what it could be?
I did a Google & could not find to much on it.

Any HELP would be appreciated

Sorry for the delay.

It seems that the problem was Quicken 2000 Update manager causing the problem, specifically the "MRTRATE" module. When I went to do as U said I found it there a LOT, so I did a quick check on it & VOILA, that module has been causing all kinds of problems for quite some time.

I went ahead & stopped Quicken from doing web updates & it seems (FOR NOW ANYWAY) that all is AOK.

THANKS & take care.
