XP Pro and new motherboard and upgrades

My wifes XP Pro machine has a bad video card so I thought that now is the time to get a new atx motherboard, cpu, memory, dvd-rom and vid card. I plan on keeping the same hd and modem.

Do I need to do a complete reinstall of XP Pro or will it reconfigure the upgrades by itself? I really don?t want to delete all the files and programs from the hd if I don?t have to.

Also, is there a good website that can walk me through the process?
