XP Password?

XP just asked me to change my password and said I had 9 days left to do so.

Can I just ignore that?

To correct this issue, go to the MMC and select Local users and groups, then users. Next double clink on the user name you are having the issue with, in this case yours. You should now be in the selected users properties. Simply check the box next to Password never expires and click OK. The warning should go away. Or you could ignore it for kicks and giggles. If you choose the later, let me know how it turns out.

Well...its really not an issue...its generally a good idea to change passwords every so often.

You could ignore it. Let us know how the reinstall goes Just kidding.

I believe you can change that to never have passwords expire. (Obviously, you'll need admin privs to do this)

Well...its really not an issue...its generally a good idea to change passwords every so often.

just wondering about everyones opinion , how often you should you change passwords ?

On changing passwords, it depends. If a user is constantly calling and complaining, every day should work. But for most of us I like 30 days at home and 15 days at work, with around 10 passwords remembered and complexity requirements needing to be met.
