xp password and adding new account

Hi, i'm thinking of adding a new account to my dads laptop to let my mum use it, problem is my dads account hasn't been logged off from when it was created a year ago. if i log off i don't know the password to log back on.

Can i find the password while i'm still logged in under his account?

i've done a search but it's mostly about software registry hacks for people who are logged out and need back in, i thought there might be an easier way as i was still logged in at the moment.

Thanks.

If you're logged in to go start > control panel > user accounts > click on your current user account > change password or remove password

There are other ways to do it but that will get the job done.
