xp or ie?

something is not letting me download from the internet as of today, i dunno if it is a setting in xp or ie. xp has really been doing some weird things, could it be doing this? i have tried shutting off zone alarm, enabling and disabling passive ftp - anyone have any ideas?
 
IE6 has some privacy settings that will prevent downloads in some cases. Also . . . check the basic security levels both in IE and XP.
