XP on old PII?

Does anyone know if Windows XP will run properly on an old AL440LX Motherboard? I was curious if anyone had an old computer running a PII-333 or something similar (66 mhz frontside bus) with Windows XP.

I think it should work fine, but has anyone else had experience with this sort of thing?

It will work just fine. Why shouldn't it, minimum specs are like a 233MHz Pentium. Just be sure to have atleast 128MB ram.

That's what I figured - I just wanted some other opinions on the matter.

I know I have W2K running on a PII-400 and an Intel 440BX motherboard with no problems at all (stable as hell, actually - like, 90+ days of uptime running at heavy load) but sometimes it's hard to tell with this old crud.

The box should have 192 megs of ram, more than that cpu will ever use, so no problem there.

running it on a pII 300 right now. starting up outlook is slow but no problem with the system itself.

ps. 320mb memory

It'll run just fine...only slightly slower than Win2k, which runs perfectly fine as well on such a machine.

And Microsoft stated the minimum requirement for MS Flight Simulator 2000 was a 166mhz pentium...
