I requested a Scandisk of my two of my partitions on bootup a few days ago, and since then, everytime I boot up, it keeps doing it over and over, even after it's initial completion.

Is there a way I can get rid of this scan request? I have tried scanning another drive, but that does not work.

First have you tried letting it finish. Or if you do let it finish does it run every friggin' time you start up Windows.

If that is the case. Do you have an HP Scanner, update the drivers from HP.

If this is not true try this Microsoft Knowledge Base Link
I know it doesn't refer to your problem directly but Microsoft refers to this document if you are experiencing problems with CHKDSK.

I hope this helps.
