I'm getting a new proc and mobo (1700 b) and I forgot my psu (antec pp303x 300watt) was a bit outdated. The problem is I need to order a psu and this combo will be here a couple of days before. I think it would be fairly safe to run stock on this psu temporarily? I will use the same setup that I'm using now except the new cpu/mobo in place of a 1.0@1.52 1.85v tbird. What about overclocking though? If it's too much will it only not boot, or am I risking some damage? Any advice would be great :)

BTW, What do you guys think of this svc psu?

IMHO you don't even need a new psu. That one will work just fine. I am running a 2100XP in an epox 8kha+ at 2.15ghz using that exact same powersupply. Runs rock stable.

As for that power supply, complete overkill. What could you possibly be running in your pd that you would need that much power? And at $33 you have to wonder how reliable and clean it is. In my experience with psu's you get what you pay for. I almost lost an entire system to a bargain priced 420W turbolink.

I agree csaddict (recover cs addict myself), reliability is a reason I still haven't decided to order it yet :D How much power does a 2.0ghz xp @ 1.75v~ use? 1.52ghz @ 1.85v~ tbird?
