XP oem on Emachine

You won't be able to Active it online. You'll need to call Microsoft to ask for Activation after you've done the install.
 
from my experience with pretty much any pre-built computer, you can use an oem install disk with the key that is on the computer, as for the activation, i have had times where it works over the internet, other times i have had to call which only takes about 5min
